Joan Mitchell and IAIA Awards 2020

Exciting News! I am one of the recipients of the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant this year! 25 artists are chosen from all over the United States and awarded this grant to “provide artists with flexible financial support as well as the recognition essential to career progress.” I am honored to be a part of this list of amazing artists.

Also in 2020, I was granted an Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) Research Fellowship through the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. This research was conducted in the Fall 2020 on the IAIA campus, where I was given access to IAIA Archives and Collections to collect additional research for the Great Basin Native Artists Archive Project residing at the Nevada Museum of Art, Center for Art + Environment Archive Collections, Reno, Nevada.
